Learn More About Our Campus Programs Choose a location Select a location first Personal and Professional Preparation The Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree in Clinical Psychology program prepares individuals to provide therapeutic and assessment services to individuals, families, groups, and organizations. The Master of Arts (MA) degree provides a basic foundation in the principles of Clinical Psychology. Training in a variety of theoretical orientations and specialty areas are represented across 10 individualized programs. Common to these training programs is a large network of shared university resources, a common set of training principles, and legacy of over 30 years of professional school training. Our programs are academically challenging while encouraging your development as a person and a professional. Our graduates are prepared to provide ethical and quality services in a variety of settings, and many of our alumni are engaged in work that has expanded the impact of psychology on the world. Play Video We believe in the practitioner-scholar model of training Our Clinical Psychology programs are firmly committed to the practitioner-scholar model of training. Rigorous training in both the science of Clinical Psychology and its real-world practical application is provided. Many of our graduates pursue careers as practitioners in applied clinical settings, although some of our graduates pursue academic careers and have full-time faculty appointments at universities and academic hospitals. Our approach teaches graduates to be health service psychologists As a way to bridge research and practice, students are taught to be health service psychologists.” Students learn to apply clinical hypothesis testing, empirical literature, expert opinion, and ongoing outcome assessment to the formulation and treatment of individual cases.
